| Mike Escobedo, DVM | Mike Escobedo, D.V.M. graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1983. He then was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Escobedo attends at least 20 - 30 hours of Continuing Education Seminars each year to provide the highest quality of care to your pets.
Dr. Escobedo began caring for pets at Cornerstone Animal Clinic in 1990 and has been the owner since 1991. Both Dr. Escobedo and Cornerstone Animal Clinic belong to several associations that inspire excellence in veterinary practitioners and define superior standards in veterinary hospitals. |

Tony Lopez, DVM, DABVP | Dr. Lopez joined our practice in 2002 after five years of small animal medical practice in the Dallas area. Dr. Lopez obtained his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
Dr. Lopez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. This organization has certified him as a board certified specialist in canine and feline practice. Dr. Lopez mastered a rigorous and demanding application process and certification examination in order to obtain Diplomate status. To qualify to sit for the extensive, two-day examination, a veterinarian must complete either a residency program or six years of clinical veterinary practice. In addition, two case reports, references, descriptions of practice procedures, and professional education records must be submitted and pass review. The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners was established in 1978 to recognize excellence in clinical practice through the certification of species oriented specialists.
Dr. Lopez is very progressive in continuing education and has obtained over 50 hours per year (over the 15 required), attending both local and national veterinary meetings and conferences. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA), Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice (TAVP), and the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).
Dr. Lopez has a golden retriever named Ben, a boxer named Kolby, a Boston Terrier named Phyllis, and 3 cats, Nikki, Gimly, and Dobbie.

MARGO is our resident clinic dog. She is a black labrador retriever who suffers from separation anxiety. She is shy, but loves to wrestle with Cutter. |
